The Flying Trunk follows the adventures of a young man with nothing left of his inheritance, except for a peculiar trunk that seems to know exactly where its owner wants to go. With the trunk he finds a new homeland, a new career, and even the love of his life -- but he could lose them all if he doesn't learn to trust in others. His tale is framed by a roaming troupe with a crisis of their own, giving us one last great story before they must disband.
Crafted for a diverse ensemble, The Flying Trunk is an original musical that plays with a fun mashup of settings and musical styles. Like most old fairy tales (especially the ones by Hans Christian Andersen!), this one left plenty of room for fleshing out, dramatic license, and adapting to modern expectations. If you read the sections of the web site about our characters and music, you'll pick up a great deal more about the details of the story.
