About the Show:
This play is based on several of Rudyard Kipling's original stories, not the Disney cartoons. The play follows Mowgli the "Man Cub" through three adventures in which he struggles to find his place between the worlds of man and beast in the jungles of old India. Baloo also leads us through the heroic story of Riki Tiki Tavi, the pet mongoose who battles cobras to save his family. There's comedy, drama, excitement -- something for everyone!
How to Audition:
- Request an appointment by emailing This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or call (623) 293-2955. We will need your complete name, e-mail address and phone number.
- A resume is helpful, but not required. Don't let that keep you from auditioning!
- Please bring a photo of yourself -- even a homemade snapshot is good.
- Bring a list of possible schedule conflicts between now and April 1.
- Show up with a great attitude and prepare to have fun!
What to Expect:
The auditions will consist of scene-reading and improv games to help actors of any age show us what they can do on stage. We want this to be a fun, NO-STRESS experience. It doesn't matter whether you've been acting for years or if this is your first play. Due to our tight rehearsal schedule, casting will occur very quickly without much suspenseful waiting time. A parent meeting is planned for Sunday, February 12, at 4:00 p.m.
