Mission and Overview of Rising Arts

Our Mission:

The mission of Rising Arts is to provide young people in the Phoenix, Arizona metropolitan area with education, experience and opportunities in the performing arts.

Whom Do We Serve?

We believe that every activity in the arts adds to and enriches the cultural profile of our city and state. In that respect, we provide a cultural outlet for all ages. The participation of young performers and artists ages 8-19 is the strength of our youth productions. Our mission also includes opportunities for college-age artists (ages 18-24) and works for the stage not written especially for youth theater.

Activities at Rising Arts:

• As a community theater we provide a full season of scheduled plays, for which performers audition. These are quality productions for general audiences which we promote as part of the Phoenix theater scene.
• We conduct classes, workshops, and camps to provide fun, educational, skill-building and confidence-building opportunities for both aspiring and experienced young performers.
• We produce special events including music, comedy and variety shows.
• We engage in outreach projects and educational opportunities for our surrounding community.
• We collaborate with other theaters and organizations toward the goal of promoting the growth of the arts in the Phoenix area.
